A recycling photoreactor for the efficient production of enantiomerically pure chiral sulfoxides. (IMAGE)

Researchers from the Tokyo University of Science, Japan, combine a photoreactor with a high-performance liquid chromatography system to quickly convert racemates into pure enantiomers. By successively recycling undesired enantiomers, the newly developed recycling photoreactor can produce high yields of optically pure enantiomers with useful properties.
