Tracheal, bronchus, and lung (TBL) cancers are known to be the leading contributors to cancer-related disease burden worldwide. A new study by researchers from China finds that the disease burden due to TBL cancers witnessed a global downward trend between 1990–2019, but with variations across regions and countries. While the disease burden decreased in high-income and lower-middle income countries, it increased in the upper-middle income countries during this period.
