Schematic of the key strategies for in situ cartilage bioprinting (IMAGE)
Caption
In vitro bioprinting allows the fabrication of constructs outside of a defect location, which can be matured in a bioreactor, followed by implantation in the surgical site. Robotic-assisted, handheld, minimally and non-invasive in situ bioprinting allows the direct deposition of bioinks in the defect site.
