Vision of a satellite communication links based on optical technologies that provide Internet connectivity to the earth from space. An optical space network would only require a limited number of ground stations, strategically embedded in a continental fibre network, to mitigate potential cloud obstruction when transmitting and receiving information are needed to and from space.
