Drawing inspiration how spiders spin silk to make webs, a research team from the National University of Singapore led by Assistant Professor Swee-Ching Tan (left) has developed a simple, efficient, and sustainable method to produce functional soft fibres that are suitable for smart textile electronics. His team members include NUS research fellow Dr Songlin Zhang (centre), and NUS doctoral student Ms Mengjuan Zhou (right).
