WASHINGTON—Today, ILSI, formerly known as the International Life Sciences Institute, announced it has rebranded. The effort includes a new logo, a refreshed visual identity and an updated website, which all reflect the organization’s evolution and its aspirations for the future.

ILSI, a non-profit, global scientific organization, will continue to foster cooperation among scientists in government, academia and industry. The rebrand symbolizes the organization’s renewed commitment to generating and advancing groundbreaking research within a framework of the highest principles of scientific integrity. The announcement follows the organization’s transformation that includes a refined mission focused on nutrition, food safety and sustainability, a new infrastructure and re-envisioned governance.

“Given today’s global health risks, environmental threats and economic uncertainties, it has never been more important for government, industry and academia to work collaboratively toward mutual goals,” said Stephane Vidry, PhD, ILSI’s global executive director. “Through its tripartite model and within its global federation, ILSI will continue to ensure that the organization is focused on research that is essential to human and planetary health.”

The new branding represents the organization as it continues to advance evidence-based solutions to improve human health and well-being while safeguarding the environment. The logo uses bold, crisp type and vivid colors to communicate ILSI’s organizational values and traits. The symbol’s three main colors (orange, blue and purple) interact together to represent the tripartite model of ILSI and overlay each other to emphasize the different global sectors of ILSI working together. The colors were strategically chosen to represent elements found in nature and the values essential to the organization’s success, including credibility, integrity, leadership, collaboration and transparency. The new branding will be adopted by ILSI’s regional affiliates, known as entities, around the globe.

Since it was founded in 1978, ILSI has published approximately one thousand papers by credentialed scientists with direct experience in associated fields. Each paper is peer-reviewed, a professional standard for the evaluation of scientific, academic or professional work by others working in the same field. Under the new branding, ILSI will continue to collaborate with trusted experts and volunteers around the world, working synergistically and transparently across the academic, public and private sectors to support and conduct nutrition, food safety and environmental research for the betterment of public health.
