Innovation Crossroads and the regional innovation ecosystem (VIDEO)
Caption
Entrepreneurs that join ORNL’s Innovation Crossroads, a Department of Energy Lab Embedded Entrepreneurship Program, gain a number of benefits from the 2-year fellowship: access to world-leading scientific experts and facilities, mentorship from experienced business professionals, and connections to a broad hard-tech network. In addition to the benefits to entrepreneurs, the institutions that make up the Oak Ridge-Knoxville regional innovation ecosystem also benefit from the creative problem-solving and applications-focused research challenges these entrepreneur-fellows bring to Innovation Crossroads. In this video, hear about Innovation Crossroads’ impact on the innovation ecosystem of Tennessee from Susan Hubbard, deputy for science and technology at ORNL; Dan Miller, Innovation Crossroads program lead; Joe Hoagland, vice president for innovation and research at the Tennessee Valley Authority; Don DeRosa, co-founder of Eonix and Cohort 2018 alumnus; and Anca Timofte, co-founder and CEO of Holocene and Cohort 2022 fellow. Innovation Crossroads is sponsored by DOE, TVA, and ORNL.
