For Earth system model projections, global marine phytoplankton productivity (PP) over global scales (left panel) and over low latitudes (right panel). Each model is represented with a different color. Model differences from 1850-1900 are shown, highlighting that models differ in not only the sign but also the amplitude of the response. The models with increasing PP include temperature-dependent remineralization, and the models with decreasing PP do not include temperature-dependent remineralization.
