Boone’s interest in systems thinking is reflected in his astrophotography hobby. His photo of the Rosette Nebula in the Monoceros constellation — “approximately 5,000 light-years from Earth and 130 light-years in diameter (huge!)” — was taken from his backyard in Arizona by stacking 40 five-minute images to produce this final result.
