Compared with traditional breeding or genetic engineering, ribosomal engineering (RE) is an inexpensive, rapid, and safe technique to “unlock” useful capabilities in microorganisms. RE can be used to create probiotic food, supplements, and adjuvants with significantly greater health benefits.
