Adélie penguin (ES: Pingüino Adelia) with its chick at Madder cliffs colony (ES: Cabo Madder). This species lives in the iciest of conditions as they hunt krill among the ice. They are considered one of the true antarctic penguins together with the Emperor Penguin and their numbers are shrinking in West Antarctica, our area of study. Credit Ignacio Juarez Martinez.
