Sodium-glucose linked transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibition restores age-related loss of cell-cell communication in the aging killifish kidney (IMAGE)
Caption
Cell-cell signaling networks in African turquoise killifish inferred using CellChat from single-nucleus RNA-sequencing data show ligand-receptor interactions between renal and vascular cell types. Overall, the total number of interactions declined with normal aging across all kidney cell types (left and center), but fish treated over time with SGLT2 inhibitors (right) maintained networks as they aged.
