Bremsstrahlung photon energy spectra produced by 40 MeV electrons in different molten salts.

In terms of bremsstrahlung photon yield, the LiF-UF4 molten salt system exhibits the highest, while the NaCl-MgCl2-UCl3 system shows the lowest. Overall, fluoride-based salt systems generally demonstrate higher photon yields compared to chloride-based systems, which is primarily attributed to the higher bremsstrahlung energy loss rate of fluoride salts.
