A glacier in the Western Antarctic Peninsula (IMAGE)
Caption
The Western Antarctic Peninsula is experiencing rapid warming due to climate change, but geologists have many unanswered questions about how melting ice affects seafloor processes and ecosystems. MBARI research and technology are helping reveal how this warming may be affecting geological processes, groundwater systems, and seafloor ecosystems in this remote region.
