Pythium tolerance in spinach research (IMAGE)

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture awarded vegetable breeder Ainong Shi and a team of researchers at the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station a $615,000, three-year grant to continue long-running efforts to identify spinach cultivars tolerant to multiple Pythium species. The research is being conducted in collaboration with Infinite Acres in Sprindale, Arkansas, a subsidiary of 80 Acres Farms.
