CoRoT-2 b versus a typical hot Jupiter (VIDEO)
Caption
This animation shows how CoRoT-2 b is rotating slower and in the opposite direction of typical hot Jupiters, which are usually tidally locked. The planet models are based off work from Hayley Beltz, Emily Rauscher, and their collaborators, which predicts what winds may look like on a slowly rotating planet.
