Demonstrating large-scale dynamic collective behavior driven by nonreciprocal interactions (IMAGE)
Caption
The researchers demonstrated nonreciprocal interactions in a colloidal system containing more than 10,000 particles. Self-propelled pairs of differently sized particles assembled into dynamic clusters that repeatedly fragmented and reorganized, preventing the formation of static aggregates. This representative snapshot captures the large-scale clustered state and conveys the persistent collective dynamics sustained by nonreciprocal interactions.
