This heat map shows the sway frequency of a forest developed from video of the Manitou Experimental Forest in Colorado. The darker trees sway slower than the lighter colored trees. If the sway frequency decreases over time (that is, the heat map from a later video shows a darker color), the tree may be experiencing water stress.
