The developmental dimension includes profiles of the human brain in the first trimester (6–13 weeks after conception) and four postnatal brain regions sampled at five stages from infancy to late adulthood. Population-scale profiling covers more than 2.8 million nuclei from the adult prefrontal cortex of 388 individuals. The cross-modal taxonomy integrates transcriptomic, DNA methylation, and open-chromatin profiles from more than 500,000 cells in the adult mouse primary motor cortex, resolving more than 56 neuronal cell types and supporting cell-type alignment across platforms. The spatial dimension maps single-cell DNA methylomes and three-dimensional genome organization across 117 dissected regions of the adult mouse brain. ACC, anterior cingulate cortex; DLPFC, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex; Hipp, hippocampus; CN, caudate nucleus. Credit: Peng Luo and Hongbo Guo.
