Samuel Prien, Ph.D., and fellow researcher Lindsay Penrose, Ph.D., from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, were awarded a patent Nov. 8, 2021 for inventing a new a method for selecting viable embryos without direct sampling or risk to the embryo.
