An atomic-resolution image of a high-entropy alloy (HEA) (IMAGE)
Caption
An atomic-resolution image of a high-entropy alloy (HEA), comprised of several refractory elements, collected using Lehigh’s own scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM). Bright “dots”, signifying individual atomic columns, can be seen in an organized array corresponding with a specific crystallographic orientation, and the hue of various atomic columns was strategically manipulated to create a Lehigh logo.
