TTUHSC’s Volker E. Neugebauer, M.D., Ph.D., has focused his research since the 1990s on the amygdala and its role in pain. To continue that research, the NIH recently awarded a five-year, $2.76 million grant to Neugebauer and TTUHSC colleague Igor Ponomarev, Ph.D.
