The NIH recently awarded a five-year, $2.76 million grant to TTUHSC’s Volker E. Neugebauer, M.D., Ph.D., (right) and Igor Ponomarev, Ph.D., (left) to continue Neugebauer’s research into the link between pain and the amygdala. Peyton Presto, an M.D./Ph.D. student also will work on the project.
