Human-robot interaction technology has enabled our interaction with the environment at much smaller scales than us. Microrobots, for example, can measure the behavior of small insects. However, there has been no direct human-insect interaction so far. Now, Ritsumeikan University researchers have developed a soft micro-robotic finger that realizes such a direct interaction with the microworld.
