北西太平洋には、沖縄トラフ、伊豆・小笠原弧、マリアナトラフという3つの水域に熱水噴出孔がある。噴出孔地点同士を結ぶ赤色の線は共通種が多いことを示し、黄色の線は種の類似性が低いことを示している。
