AAAS and Research Networks announce partnership to add three titles to Science Partner Journal program

Business Announcement

Science Partner Journals

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is pleased to announce its partnership with Research Networks to publish Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal, Computational and Structural Biotechnology Reports, and Brain Organoid & Systems Neuroscience Journal as Science Partner Journals.

Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal (CSBJ) and Computational and Structural Biotechnology Reports publish research at the intersection of computational biology, structural biology, and biotechnology, highlighting advances in bioinformatics, modeling, and artificial intelligence that deepen understanding of biological systems and accelerate innovation in the life sciences. Brain Organoid & Systems Neuroscience Journal publishes research focused on brain organogenesis and related stem cell technologies, structure and function of neural circuits and systems, and next generation self-organizing models to study development and disease.

“This partnership marks an important step in strengthening the visibility, rigor, and global reach of our journals, while preserving their strong editorial independence and commitment to open-access science,” said Gupta Udatha, Managing Editor of CSBJ and Founder of Research Networks. “We look forward to working closely with AAAS to support our authors, reviewers, and editors, and to continue advancing high-quality research for the global scientific community.”

The journals are currently accepting submissions through their established manuscript submission systems. As members of the Science Partner Journal program, the journals will publish on a continuous basis under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). As Open Access titles, all articles are freely available to read on the journal websites.

“We are pleased to welcome these three journals into the Science Partner Journal program in partnership with Research Networks,” said Bill Moran, Publisher of the Science family of journals at AAAS. “Through the SPJ program, AAAS provides a trusted publishing platform for high-quality research in rapidly evolving fields, grounded in the highest standards of peer review and editorial independence. We look forward to partnering with the editorial teams to expand the global reach and impact of their work across the biotechnology and neuroscience communities.”

About Science Partner Journals

Titles participating in the Science Partner Journal program are added on a regular basis and participation in the program is kept to English-language publications. AAAS is actively seeking new partners across scientific disciplines. Organizations participating in the Science Partner Journal program will be editorially independent and responsible for the content published in each journal. Partner organizations are responsible for establishing editorial boards committed to best practices in peer review and author service. For more information about the Science Partner Journal program, please visit the Science Partner Journal homepage at spj.science.org.
