SNU GRC holds US - Korea Strategic Infrastructure Summit

May 20, 2021 at SNU Siheung Campus, Mr. Norman Anderson, Advisor to US Administration, and a senior delegation from US-based Blockchains, Inc. and Big Sun Holdings Inc., will join a group of invited participants, representing both countries, to identify and discuss infrastructure topics and challenges that need to be focused on now to design a US - Korea economic relation framework over the next 10 years.

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) will hold a US - Korea Strategic Infrastructure Summit organized by SNU GRC (Director Prof. Junseok Hwang) at SNU's Siheung Campus Education & Collaboration Center from 9:00 till 12:40 on May 20, 2021.

This event will be a high-level summit featuring Mr. Norman Anderson, who advised former USA administrations of former US Presidents Clinton and Obama, and currently advises President Joe Biden's administration, together with a senior delegation from US-based Blockchains, Inc., led by EVP Lee Weiss. Mr. Anderson and Blockchains are jointly leading businesses of infrastructure investment, while consulting for U.S.- based developers, institutes and business leaders. They will be joined by Michael Woods, CEO/COO of Big Sun Holdings-the U.S. based global accelerator for the South Korea headquartered HN Inc. family of companies.

This summit will feature talks about the strategies, directions and contents of the Biden administration's programs for large-scale investment for infrastructure rebuilding and new infrastructure investment, and the implications of those plans for the Korean New Deal and the American Jobs Plan. Through detail deep discussions between representatives of government agencies, industries and academies, this will be a holistically integrative event in pursuit of grand economic collaboration between the two nations.

The summit will also include a signing ceremony of multiple agreements. In keeping with the focus of the summit, these agreements will formally acknowledge the commitments by key participants to work together to address infrastructure needs.

For this event, delegates from the US will visit Korea from May 17 for a week preceding the presidential summit, taking place on May 21 between President Moon and President Biden, to picture roadmaps for mutual investment and business creation, while strengthening strategic partnerships between the two countries and cultivating opportunities for actual and real economic interactions through governmental, industrial and academic collaboration.

This event will be jointly held by SNU GRC, US's Strategic Infrastructure Performance Institute, Blockchains, Inc., Big Sun Holdings Group Inc., and major US economy media including Bloomberg will report on the summit.
