Skokie, IL – Abstracts open today for the ISSCR 2022 Annual Meeting, the most comprehensive gathering of scientists in stem cell research and regenerative medicine in the world. Taking place 15-18 June 2022 in San Francisco, USA, the event offers in person and virtual opportunities share knowledge, collaborate, network, and discover the year’s most compelling stem cell science.

ISSCR 2022, co-sponsored by STEMCELL Technologies, will feature unpublished, breaking research exploring new technologies and clinical applications of stem cell research. Each day is focused around one or more of five, defined scientific themes that guide attendees to key sessions aligned with research interests.

Scientists are invited to submit an abstract by 9 February 2022 for the opportunity to be selected for an oral presentation and to quality for Travel and Merit Awards. Late-breaking abstracts will be open from 23 February to 23 March 2022 and only considered for poster presentations.

“We are thrilled to be able to welcome our stem cell research community to San Francisco to share their latest work and engage with their peers,” Melissa Little, PhD, ISSCR President said. “There have been tremendous innovations in our field, and there is no better meeting to highlight novel advances in stem cell research. While we are excited to be meeting in person, we are committed to making ISSCR 2022 accessible to our community of researchers in all parts of the world, and the added virtual option helps the society achieve that goal.”

The health and safety of all ISSCR attendees is paramount to the society. All ISSCR 2022 in person attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to entering the meeting venue. Masks must be worn at all times, and all venue, host city, and public health recommendations for safe gatherings will be followed.
