Association of weight loss surgery with severity of COVID-19

What The Study Did: In this study that included nearly 12,000 patients with obesity, substantial weight loss achieved with weight loss surgery was associated with improved outcomes after contracting COVID-19 infection, including a lower risk of severe disease, hospitalization and need for supplemental oxygen.
