Emittance compensation through corrector quadrupoles placed downstream of the solenoid. (IMAGE)
Caption
ASTRA simulations show that a pair of corrector quadrupoles (one normal, one skew) located 0.437 m downstream can effectively cancel the parasitic quadrupole field of the solenoid. When properly tuned, the correctors reduce the emittance oscillation caused by solenoid misalignment, demonstrating the feasibility of active emittance correction.
