As shown in Fig. 2, the existing method in the industry performs planar homogeneity measurement after lens blank cutting. In contrast, the cylindrical absolute homogeneity measurement method proposed in this paper enables inspection as early as the quartz glass cylinder forming stage. Compared with the planar method, this approach saves both time and material costs.
