Tailon-containing linear mRNA and controls (linear mRNA without tailon or circular RNA) were injected separately into mice, and protein production was monitored. A strong signal from the tailon-containing linear mRNA remained 2 weeks after administration, whereas signals from control RNAs were already barely detectable by day 1.
