The 4th LabMed Discovery Youth Scholars Forum, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, is a themed event under the SJTU Med-Engineering Journal Alliance. This interdisciplinary forum aims to provide a platform for outstanding young researchers to share cutting-edge scientific advancements and foster academic dialogue across fields such as medicine, translational research, and biomedical engineering.

The 18th World Congress on Polyphenols Applications will bring together leading international experts, clinical researchers, chemists, and food technologists to present and debate the latest discoveries in polyphenol science, from gut microbiota and metabolic regulation to brain health, sustainable applications, and advanced delivery systems.
This prestigious scientific congress is chaired by Jan Frederik Stevens (Oregon State University, USA) and Andreas Schieber (University of Bonn, Germany), who emphasize the congress’s central mission: To bridge molecular science with actionable health strategies in the age of chronic diseases and health system overload.
Japan is reinforcing its position as a global powerhouse in microbiota research and fermentation science, as the country prepares to host the First Conjoint Meeting ISM–RIKEN – Targeting Microbiota this October in Tokyo.
On July 9, the second day of the summit, Alex Zhavoronkov PhD, founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine, will be delivering a keynote titled “Generative AI for Drug Discovery, Longevity, and Sustainability: From Theory to Applications” from 14:20-14:40 local time, before participating in the panel discussion “Beyond human: AI, superhumans, and the quest for limitless performance & longevity” with David Sinclair, Professor of Genetics from Harvard Medical School.
