The European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO) and the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) have awarded the 2025 ESCEO-IOF Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Award to Dr. Elizabeth M. Curtis, Associate Professor in Rheumatology at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, University of Southampton, and an honorary consultant rheumatologist at University Hospitals Southampton. The prestigious annual Award, which was presented on the occasion of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Congress in Rome, Italy on April 12, 2025, recognizes young investigators in the field who have demonstrated outstanding scientific merit early in their careers, prior to reaching a prominent academic position.
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO) have presented ESCEO-IOF Young Investigator Awards to young investigators from 12 countries. The prestigious Awards were presented on April 12th in Rome, Italy, on the occasion of the World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis & Musculoskeletal Diseases (WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2025).
Funded by the Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, an agency within the Department of Transportation, this project aims to develop a realistic training system for teams to practice handling hazardous condition response and emergency response.

Today, the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) has presented the 2025 CSA Medal of Achievement to Dr Ambrish Mithal, a renowned Indian endocrinologist and distinguished physician and researcher. The Award was presented on the occasion of the World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis & Musculoskeletal Diseases (WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2025) in Rome, Italy. The IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA) Medal of Achievement honours individuals who have significantly advanced the field of osteoporosis through their original and outstanding scientific contributions, and whose work has helped to increase understanding and awareness of osteoporosis.
At the opening of the World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis & Musculoskeletal Diseases in Rome, Italy, on April 10th, the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) honoured Professor Atsushi Suzuki, Chair of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Japan, with the IOF President’s Award. The esteemed award recognizes individuals for their significant and enduring contributions to advancing the mission of the IOF, through furthering one or more of the Foundation's mission statements and/or goals.
