Collaboration between two research teams from Tampere University in Finland and Université Marie et Louis Pasteur in France, have now demonstrated a novel way for processing information using light and optical fibers, opening up the possibility to build ultra-fast computers.
The Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM, President Seog-Hyeon Ryu), affiliated with the National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST, Chairperson Yeung-Shik Kim), has successfully developed a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) system entirely with Korean technology.
