The American Heart Association’s Leaders of Impact™ winner draws inspiration from personal connection to heart disease.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) and other national leaders have published an online book, "Advancing the Science of Cancer in Latinos: 2024 Conference Proceedings," providing promising research findings and strategies to address the leading cause of Latino death.

A study led by Aston University’s Dr Gemma Heath and  Dr Prasad Nagakumar from Birmingham Children’s Hospital, has shown that treatment and diagnosis for preschool wheeze needs more effective evidence-based guidelines.

Jennifer Jao, MD, MPH, from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, was selected as Co-Chair of the International Maternal Pediatric and Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) Network funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Jao will serve alongside Dr. Sharon Nachman in guiding the Network’s critical work to improve the health and well-being of infants, children, and pregnant/postpartum individuals affected by HIV and its co-morbidities worldwide.
