Hyperspectral and RGB data fusion is becoming increasingly popular for Earth remote sensing applications. In this direction, a team of researchers from the Rochester Institute of Technology has developed a bimodal video imaging platform leveraging this fusion technique and examined its performance by utilizing data of dynamic near-shore waters. The proposed technology successfully predicts hyperspectral image frames using RGB video input, enabling the technology for next-generation applications.
