Researchers from Brazil and France meet at a seminar during FAPESP Week to discuss ways forward for museums in the face of the changes and challenges of the 21st century.

The assessment was made by Barbara Pompili, the French Ambassador for the Environment, at the opening of a forum at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. The event is part of the FAPESP Week France program.

Aiming to make a complex topic more approachable, Lehigh University professor Larry Snyder collaborated with Gurobi Optimization to create the Burrito Optimization Game—a free, web-based tool that introduces users to mathematical optimization through an engaging burrito truck simulation. Since its launch in 2022, the game has been played over 50,000 times worldwide and is used by professionals, students, and even children to explore how algorithms can help solve challenging decision-making problems.

The Max Planck-IAS-NTU Center (MPC) for Particle Physics, Cosmology, and Geometry is a new global research center established to better understand the universe at all scales.
