Here, scientists in the UK showed that preschool children with serious or critical CHD have greater odds of developing clinically relevant impulsivity/inattention problems and peer relation problems than their healthy peers. The mechanism is not yet known, but the results showed that a stimulating home environment can reduce the risk of developing these problems.
