Inactive today, forgetful tomorrow: Mizzou researchers discover a link between lack of physical activity and a decline in brain health
University of Missouri-ColumbiaWhenever 27-year-old Nathan Kerr stops by the office of his 81-year-old mentor Frank Booth, Kerr often finds Booth running on a treadmill.
“You’re not going to find someone with more enthusiasm for what they do than Frank,” said Kerr, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Missouri. “Frank is the definition of someone who practices what they preach — and he has been on a mission to encourage active lifestyles his whole career.”

UESTC researchers develop a new phased array antenna for millimeter-wave communications
Journal of Electronic Science and TechnologyAs the demand for high-speed wireless communication grows, millimeter-wave frequencies, such as the 27 GHz band, have become increasingly important for 5G and beyond. However, operating at these frequencies poses technical challenges, such as high propagation losses and atmospheric interference. Now, researchers from China have developed an innovative 2-bit phased array antenna that effectively addresses these issues. Its compact, cost-effective design offers a promising and experimentally verified solution for the future of wireless communications.
