Researchers at South China University of Technology developed a modular nano-adaptor platform that quantitatively tunes anti-CD3 presentation while preserving antibody affinity, total antibody loading and tumor-targeting capacity. The calibrated platform enabled screening of 91 tetraspecific nanoantibody configurations and identified lead combinations that strengthened immune–tumor interactions, improved antitumor activity and suppressed tumor growth in PBMC-humanized mouse models under the tested conditions.
World Sepsis Day on 13 September 2026 / Critical care specialists Professor Jan Rossaint and Professor Alexander Zarbock from the University of Münster talk about the latest research being done on sepsis and other types of systemic inflammation / Examples include kidney damage after major surgery and the search for biomarkers that predict risks
People with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who have several close relatives with colorectal cancer are significantly more likely to develop the disease themselves. This is demonstrated by a new Swedish registry study from Karolinska Institutet, published in the journal Gastroenterology. The findings raise the question of whether future cancer screening guidelines should place greater emphasis on the number of cancer cases in a patient's family.

Bright light therapy lamps can improve sleep, activity levels and circadian rhythms of older adults in urban areas who have diminished exposure to natural light, a new study from the University of Surrey reports. Scientists believe such methods could provide a non-pharmacological and low-cost way to support healthy ageing in urban areas.
New research reveals a shared biology behind profound fatigue in five major illnesses - including long Covid and PTSD.
A new paper shows striking biological similarities between five major illnesses which until now have largely been viewed as separate disorders.
The findings suggest that chronic fatigue syndrome (also known as ME), long Covid, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis (MS) may be driven by common underlying mechanisms.
This is despite the conditions being triggered by different events - ranging from viral infections to psychological trauma or autoimmune responses.
Huntsman Cancer Institute marks a major construction milestone for its Vineyard campus that will bring hope and healing closer to patients and families in Utah County and the Mountain West.
Investigators from the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute have found that adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) receiving a less-intensive combination of azacitidine and venetoclax had more than twice as much time before treatment failed, the leukemia returned or worsened, or they died, compared with patients receiving intensive chemotherapy. Published in The New England Journal of Medicine, the findings could change the initial treatment approach for many patients with AML.
