A new study reveals a clear conclusion: strength (resistance) training is the most effective tool for achieving “high-quality” weight loss, reducing body fat while preserving, and even increasing, muscle mass.

A landmark study of nearly 1.2 million infants led by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) researchers and the Nutrition Division of the Israeli Ministry of Health suggests the answer is a reassuring yes.Analyzing post-mortem brain tissue from individuals with alcohol use disorder, researchers identified significant changes in genes of the endocannabinoid system within the prefrontal cortex and nucleus accumbens. Published in Addiction, the study helps explain impaired impulse control and relapse vulnerability in alcoholism. It also highlights new molecular targets for more effective, personalized treatments.
The research team employed an integrated experimental approach by using human bronchial epithelial cells (BEAS-2B), mouse macrophages (RAW 264.7), and Balb/c mouse models to systematically reveal a "hierarchical oxidative stress" pathway responsible for PS NP-induced pulmonary toxicity.
