Self-assembling spheroids could be the key to scalable tissue regeneration

However, their dense structures limit cell survival and function — halting their production at scale. A new assembly method proposed by researchers from Penn State, detailed in a paper recently published in Advanced Science, facilitates spheroids that can rapidly self-assemble or “snowball” in size, while still allowing life-supporting oxygen to reach the cells inside.

Financial decline linked to faster memory aging in older adults

Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center have discovered a biological pathway that helps explain why some bladder cancers do not respond well to immunotherapy.
